The INFC Charity Show was held in Belfast on
Saturday 10th December 2005, the show had an
entry of just under 340 birds. Best in show
was won by R Telford & Son from West Belfast
with 1st Old Cock Flown Channel. Best Opposite
Sex was won by R Moore & Son from Bangor
who had 1st Old Hen Flown Channel. Specials
were judged by Mo McCorriston from Dromore.
The Best Young Bird was penned by T & K
Mawhinney from Donacloney who had 1st YC Flown
150 Miles. T & K Mawhinney had Most Points
in Show (42 Points), the partners are Donacloney
and not as I had mentioned in an earlier report
Moira. The Charity Sale was up to the usual
standard with over £7,200 raised to add
to the massive £160,000 already presented
to Local Charities.
Take time and nominate a Local Charity in need
of equipment in your area for consideration.
During the event young Christopher
Tweed, just 10, from Ballymoney was presented
with the Top Under 16 UK Award for racing. The
Junior Winner 2005 Award sponsored by Harkers
Hormoform was presented by the Irish Nat FC
Chairman Mr Ken McConaghie. This young lad has
a great future ahead in the sport, not only
successful at racing he can compete in the show
pen as well.
