Hall Of Fame 4th
5- 25 lofts 2005 O.B.
BC Hen 3x Winner in 10-Race 2005 OB Season
at 200, 250, 250 miles against 150 birds
and 15 lofts each week.
IF04 LLF 0008 shown with her BBSPL Dam,
a Paterson Air Derby Winner.
Owner
and breeder, Tony Grumka, of Whippany, NJ
selected the mate for the BBSPL Dam for
2 years based upon pedigee, eye-sign, and
conformation without success.
The 3rd year , the BBSPL hen was allowed
to select her own mate and this chance mating
produced the 3x BC hen winner.
Tony has been flying birds since 1952. Except
for 3 years in Florida, he has always flown
in the Central Jersey Combine (>2,000
birds, >200 lofts), winning the Combine
about 10 times over the years. He flies
3 clubs; Westside, Paterson, and his home
club, the Lakeland Flyers (LLF). He considers
his 2001 Paterson Air derby win (706 birds,
94 lofts) with the BBSPL hen shown above,
his most rewarding.
Tony holds several records in the LLF including
most wins in an OB season (8 of 10 races),
most wins in a YB season (6 of 10 races),
most birds in the top 10 places for a season
(42), etc., all in a club of 15-20 lofts.
He flies YB’s and OB’s on the
natural system and occasionally adds kits
of YB’s from well known breeders.
