* Banbridge will have the annual Panel/Supper & Sale in the local Royal British Legion on Friday 19th February at 8.00pm, admission just £2. Top night guaranteed.

Banbridge Social annual Breeder & Buyer Sale will be held in the local Royal British Legion on Friday 12th March, last season £1,700 was paid out over four prizes. The race will be flown from Skibbereen in conjunction with the Irish Nat FC. Contact Gary Tel: (028) 40 669825.

Breeder/Buyer Sale for Drumnavaddy Invitation will take place on Thursday 18th March in Banbridge British Legion .Race to be flown from Fermoy. Birds donated from many top lofts. The Ballymena & District AGM will be held in the local Clubrooms at Fountain Place on Monday 15th February at 8.00pm. The Harryville HPS annual meeting will be held on Wednesday 17th February in the local clubrooms at 8.00pm. The annual dinner and prize presentation will be held in the Countryman Inn on Friday 26th February, contact Robert Alexander. Kells & District HPS have a club meeting arranged for Thursday 11th February to discuss the NIPA Resolutions etc, the AGM will take place on Thursday 25th February. Billy Seaton from Ligoniel has informed me that an NIPA Section C meeting will be held in Doagh on Monday 15th February at 8.00pm. Doagh & Dist have been given permission to act as a Race Centre during 2010 provide they meet the conditions, this will change the representation on the Committee and it might effect the numbers using Muckamore.

The NIPA have reported another very good season and the AGM will be held in Glenavy on Saturday 20th February at 2.00pm, Joe & Mark Brown will be holding their Annual Sale of young birds (complete first round), door open at Noon in the downstairs hall. This sale of birds has been a top success the last couple of years, last time he sold out in minutes. They will have around 90 birds from their winning stock, just £25 each, and buy Ten get one bird Free.

The Irish Nat FC annual meeting will be held in the Lagan Valley Leisure Plex, Lisburn on Saturday 27th February at 2.00pm members interested in being selected to the committee should attend the RPRA Irish Region AGM.

The RPRA (Irish Region) AGM will be held in the Clarion Hotel, Carrickfergus on Saturday 6th February starting at 1.30pm. Mid Antrim Combine AGM will be held in the Harryville HPS on Wednesday 17th March at 8.00pm. Belfast Gold Ring Race planned for Ulster Fed

Gary Shaw has been in touch with info on the Gold Ring race for Ulster Federation members, it will be run in conjunction with the 2nd last Ulster Fed race of the young bird season. ALL MONIES raised will be distributed over 20 positions except for the £5 levied for admin costs. All rings have been Sold Out and we look forward to the race, those who missed out will have another opportunity in 2011.

The New Antrim Amalgamated will have a meeting on Monday 1st February at 7.30pm for Subs and AOB. The Ballymena & District AGM will be held in the local Clubrooms at Fountain Place on Monday 15th February at 8.00pm, Resolutions in writing must be with the Secretary Willie Reynolds no later than Saturday 30th January. The http://www.pigeonnetwork.com 10th Birthday Bash which was put off late last year will now take place at the Lisburn Rugby Club on Friday 26th March. It’s probably a good idea not to list the guests at this early stage after what happened last time but you can be sure they will be special. More details nearer the time, the evening will include the usual presentations for NI Fancier of the Year, Cornish Connection Cup and the Mid Antrim Champions League. The small sale of gift birds which this time will be youngsters which can be flown in 2010. Entry is £5 Pay at Door, usual buffet etc.

Millisle HPS are holding a Pigeon Moot at Ards Sailing Club, Portaferry Road, Newtownards on Friday 12th February. The Quiz Panel will include Alan Darragh (Cullybackey), Davy Hutchinson (Ashfield), Gerald Delaney (Dromore) and George Rankin, a SNFC winner. Eddie McAlinden was telling me about the Charity Breeder/Buyer Sale to be held in the British Legion Banbridge with half the total proceeds going to Blue Dove Hospice in Newry. The other half will be paid out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the INFC Penzance YB National at 50%, 30% and 20% (split both ways) Breeder & Buyer. I have to inform the fancy that long time member John (Nook) Wilson has passed away at the advanced age of 91 years, he had many years of top success and was the former winner of the Yearling Nat. Sincere condolences to the family circle.

Sales: Corcreeney Breeder & Buyer Sale in Newtownbreda Thursday 25th March at 8.00pm. The second sale will be held in Banbridge on Thursday 1st April at 8.00pm. Charity B & B on behalf of Blue Dove Hospice (Newry) in Banbridge Legion Friday 26th March and on the same night a YB Sale for Carrick Social (Club Repairs) at 8.00pm. The Breeder & Buyer Sale for Doagh & Dist will be held in McConnells Lounge on Saturday 27th March at 2.00pm.

Ballycarry & District will hold a Young Bird National sale to be flown from Rosscarbery at 1/3 breeder,1/3 buyer,1/3 club funds. The sale will be in the local clubrooms on Friday 2nd April @ 7.30pm open to all in NIPA Section C. Also new for 2010 they will hold a Young Bird weekly sale to be raced from the first five mass lib young bird races, This sale will be held in the clubrooms on Wednesday 7th April @ 7.30pm, sale open to members in Carrick Social RPC, Carrick & District HPS & Ballycarry HPS. Could members please note that all dues will be paid on Friday 2nd April, and also clocks in for 3 way test the same night, this is of course the night of the YB Nat Sale.

Larne & District HPS will host a Young Bird Sale in the local clubrooms on Friday 2nd April, birds in the pen from 7.00pm, sale at 7.30pm. Birds have been donated by local lofts and friends and the sale is in support of Brian & Val Derbyshire who tragically lost their grand-son following an accident in Australia. Brian is a good worker for the sport and is part of the D Donnelly & Partners team.

Fanciers in the Southern Region are organising a series of Young Bird Auctions in aid of funds for the Southern Area Hospice, Ballyholland GAC in Newry is the venue on Saturday 3rd April at 8.00pm. For further information on the Newry Sale please contact Pat McAteer Tel: 07789 846028. All pigeon fanciers are asked to support the sale to help raise much needed funds for the Hospice. The youngsters will be ready for racing this season.

Ballynure & District will have the annual Breeder & Buyer Sale in the Larne & Dist HPS Clubrooms, Glenarm Road in Larne on Wednesday 7th April, penning at 7.30 and sale at 8.00pm. The race will be the Rosscarbery YB National, £600 has been paid out each year and all fanciers are welcome.

Ronnie Johnston will auction birds at two sales that have been arranged on behalf of Allanah Donnelly who is just 7 years old and a Leukaemia Sufferer. Dates are Thursday 8th April in the Banbridge British Legion and Monday 12th April in the Newtownbreda Clubrooms. Fantastic selection of top quality Young Birds direct from some of Ireland’s leading lofts, will be ready to race.

Glenarm & District HPS will have their annual Breeder & Buyer Sale in the Larne & Dist HPS on Thursday 15th April at 8.00pm. The race will be Fermoy and prizes £100 for Breeder and £250 for the Buyer. All fanciers welcome.
