Auctioneer: This sale on behalf of David Coward Talbott hosts probably some of the best European Long distance bloodlines available and I consider it an honour to Auction on behalf of this exceptional fancier for this my first Auction at the long established Newtownbreda HPS venue. David has been a very well respected fancier for over 20 years but due to family and business commitments has only competed on and off for a period of 5 years, at a time when he raced his successful family of Van Loons he was one of leading fanciers in the Essex Area, without any doubt one of the best judges of a pigeon around, producing numerous winning pigeons for fanciers all over the UK. With much of David’s busy working life style now behind him, he has decided to spend his future years enjoying Distance Events, and has over the last couple of years set about purchasing 16 quality pairs of pigeons with a no expense spared attitude, when the right pigeon comes before him it is purchased regardless of cost. In 2011 David decided to send to a few races and had some tremendous results including 1st & 3rd Section 4th & 7th Open Alencon BICC; 2nd & 7th Section finishing 4th & 9th Open Tours; 4th Section and 12th Open Messac NFC; 6th Section 15th Open Bergerac LSECC. Not forgetting when racing previously on the North Road he recorded a superb 9 x 1st Combine and since returning to racing South Road has won 3 x 1st Combine, 2 x 1st BICC and 2nd & 4th in the National Flying Club. I have had the pleasure now of knowing David for a number of years, a superb fancier, great stock man and an inspiration to talk to at any time, over loading with knowledge!!
