Auctioneers Comment: Having had the pleasure of working as an auctioneer for the Gibb & Byrne Stud now for a number of years, without any hesitation I would have to say that this is one of the best drafts of pigeons that they have ever put together for BLACKPOOL. As you can see from the performances achieved by Ian Gibb & Sons over the last couple of years without hesitation they are a racing partnership now considered by many of the elite racing within the NIPA as an incredible winning partnership simply by achieving what they have flying into a very difficult area FACT. As many will know it takes good pigeons as well as systems and over the years I have had the pleasure in accompanying Ian Gibb around many of the top lofts in Europe in the search for exemplary stock. Many pigeons have been purchased by the partnership regardless of the sum involved and one fact for certain when Ian sets his sights on having a pigeon he rarely leaves the loft without it.
