LATEST NEWS: Penzance is available for two trial liberation's this season with a review to take place in October. Code from RPRA is 9995. Young Bird and Old Hen's Nationals, the consensus was for Penzance. Kings Cup point is Plaudren-Vannes, new code 5085.
The fees for 2009 are £15 for existing members and £25 for those who were not members in 2008. The closing date is Saturday 18th April with a late levy of £2 per member to be added until Saturday 2nd May 2009 the final date for applications. Club membership lists should be returned to Mr D Mawhinney.
The INFC Secretary Trevor Topping has arranged a meeting for the ETS Companies to work out the best way to race mark the birds for national races and clock checking. The final entries have now been received for the 2009 INFC/BHW Single Bird Challenge and have exceeded all expectations with over 350 entries and prize money totalling £1600. The winner will also receive the Joe Doheny Trophy and £450 prize money, 2nd £300, 3rd £200, 4th £150, 5th £100, 6th £75, 7th £75, 8th, 9th and 10th £50 each. The top three birds also receive a Framed Diploma of their birds kindly sponsored by W. Sawyers and Co. I would like to thank everyone who entered and wish them all the best in the King’s Cup this year. The race programme has something for all the members, and a host of special awards. These include a new 3 Bird Average over the Yearling Nat and YB Penzance, entry £1 per bird and a cup presented by Robin Duddy plus £1,000 to the winner. Details of this and all the race information will be available in the Entry Forms Booklet. The 2009 season is going to be something special, make sure your membership is paid on time. Some interest is coming from lofts residing in the South of Ireland, clubs or individual members can get in touch with me or contact the INFC Secretary direct. Tel/Fax (028) 9264 1265. R.O.I.
