A & A Ferran 1st Fed with Champion Mary Doll -

The Ulster Federation were in Thurles for their fourth race of the old bird season . The birds were liberated on Saturday 11/05/13 at 09.00 am into a west north west wind . At the time of going to press the likely winners of 1st Open Ulster Federation Thurles is the top racing lofts of A & A Ferran – Grosvenor HPS – “ Big Tony” adds another Ulster Fed Open win to his tally of wins . A previous winner of Ulster Fed O/B Fancier Of The Year and last seasons French O/B Derby Winner , Tony was quick to point out that this weeks winner has won numerous club & fed cards and would have won far more only for bad trapping . Tonys latest winner is a two year old blue cheq hen and both her parents were the best of the Galaxy Janssens and were gifted to Tony by Jim McGrath when he had to dispose of all of his birds due to Jims wife, Mary , failing ill health due to a lung problem. This pair have been a goldmine at stock and to date have bred 5 x 1sts . Tony has named his latest 1st Open Ulster Federation winner “ Champion Mary Doll” after Jims wife Mary . Congratulations Tony on your recent top success .
