Farming Life - Wednesday 05/06/13

The News Letter, now in its fourth century of continuous publication, has come a long way since it first saw the light of day in 1737. On a visit to Northern Ireland, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth described the longevity of the newspaper as "an achievement in which the people of Northern Ireland can take great pride". Pigeon News is featured in the Farming Life supplement each Wednesday.

NIPA Race/Date
Talbenny (1) 01/06/13

Talbenny in South Wales was the race point for a number of organisations at the weekend, with the NIPA opting to release at 8.30am on Saturday morning in a Lt North West Wind. A difficult affair was on the cards with theoretically a head wind crossing the Irish Sea, and with the very evident heavy and prolonged showers, no one area was to have dominance which for most of the time can be expected from the cross channel events. Looking at the NIPA Open result its Ricky McCullough up at the top with 1st & 2nd Open NIPA, this loft is having a season to remember with 7 x 1sts to date in Derriaghy.
