The Ulster Federation were in Talbenny for their eighth race of the old bird season and their second channel race of the season . The birds were liberated on Saturday 08/06/13 at 08.30 am into a fresh north easterly wind . The Ulster Fed were liberated in conjunction with the NIPA . Topping the Fed this week is the family partnership of SE & SC Rice of the Fortfield club . Their latest winner is a blue hen who has now been given the title "The Lagmore Pet". Her breeding is Galaxy Janssen /Soontjen .Her grandparents were a gift from good friend & former clubmate , Jim Mc Grath. The hen performed tremendously well from Talbenny and was a previous winner of 5th Open in the Skibbereen Young Bird Derby . Congratulations guys on your recent top success .
