TONY COOKE of GROSVENOR HPS - 1st & 2nd ULSTER FEDERATION FERMOY

The Ulster Federation were in Fermoy for their ninth race of the old bird season . Due to a bad weekend forecast the original race from Bude was replaced with an inland race from Fermoy . The birds were liberated on Saturday 15th June at 07.45 am into a fresh westerly wind. Due to the fresh winds a fast race was on the cards . Topping the Fed and having “ two flyers” was the partnership of Tony & Lorraine Cooke - T & L Cooke - Grosvenor HPS timing two birds doing over 2000 ypm. The two birds arrived together with the first Blue cock , now named “ Champion Airfield John” trapping first , closely followed by the pied cock “ Champion Airfield Lad” . The Fed winner “ Champion Airfield John” is a Lindelauf and is bred from stock obtained from his good friend Kevin Rooney from Annalong. The 2nd Fed winner “ Champion Airfield Lad” is a blue pied cock and is bred from the top winning Staf Van Reet lines of Tranquillity Lofts - Mr & Mrs Tony Mardon - A top result for the partnership and congratulations on your recent top success .
