The East Antrim birds were in Fermoy in County Cork for race six of the young bird season, best bird locally was timed in the Ligoniel & Dist by G & M Atcheson recording velocity 1575 and finishing a good 1st Sect C & 2nd Open NIPA with 19,390 birds competing. D & J Campbell & Bigger were nest best 1st Eastway (1558) followed by D & J Armstrong & Son with the best bird in Carrickfergus, 1st Carrick Social (1549) and going well. In Lasrne & District with 750 birds competing A S McNaghten was the winner doing velocity 1541 followed by Beggs & Hall who had topped the NIPA earlier.
