Rasharkin & District: The show series got underway on Saturday last when the judges travelled down from Ballymena, ace racers Mr & Mrs Sempey and Tom McAlonan the Chairman in Ballymena & District. Just under 100 birds were penned in the old bird event with classes T/W, Handled and Eye-sign. Red Card winners were W & J McLean in Through Wires while top prize-winners Steele & McNeill had 1st in both Handled and Eye-sign. Old Bird T/W – 1st W & J McLean, 2nd & Reserve A C & T Tweed, 3rd J & M Milliken, 4th H Cubitt, VHC & Commended T Kaczynski, HC Steele & McNeill. Judge Elke Sempey.
