Farming Life - Wednesday 28/05/14

The News Letter, now in its fourth century of continuous publication, has come a long way since it first saw the light of day in 1737. On a visit to Northern Ireland, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth described the longevity of the newspaper as "an achievement in which the people of Northern Ireland can take great pride". Pigeon News is featured in the Farming Life supplement each Wednesday.

The Champions League competition is now a big feature of the Mid Antrim racing season, four lofts from each member club are nominated. The league operates on a points system in the inland races starting at the second race Roscrea and going through to Rosscarbery Nat. After that we move into the knock-out competition during the cross channel programme starting at Talbenny with the final flown from Penzance.
