Farming Life - Wednesday 30/07/14

The News Letter, now in its fourth century of continuous publication, has come a long way since it first saw the light of day in 1737. On a visit to Northern Ireland, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth described the longevity of the newspaper as "an achievement in which the people of Northern Ireland can take great pride". Pigeon News is featured in the Farming Life supplement each Wednesday.

Farming Life - Wednesday 30/07/14

Post by willie reynolds »

For the second week of the young bird racing season the NIPA brought forward the race marking due to a poor weekend weather forecast, birds were marked on Thursday and released in a series of Area Liberations on Friday 25th July in a Lt Southeast wind. Next week will be a mass liberation from Tullamore when upwards of 30,000 birds are expected to be released. The leading positions are listed below. Open & Sect winners especially should supply details of the various winners and where possible a photo for publication. Would all club members please inform their local committee member as to where they wish this Saturdays race to be flown from, this week is a MASS liberation and not an Area Liberation as printed in your Year Books. Then would all committee members please inform the NIPA Secretary of decision.
