The Ulster Federation were in Kildare for their opening race of the season . The birds were liberated on
Saturday 18/04/14 at 10.30 am into an easterly breeze . At the time of going to press the likely winners of 1st
Open Ulster Federation is the partnership of Spence Bros of Lagan Valley RPC. This weeks opening winner
was a yearling belgium cock , sent to the race , driving his hen to the box , but it could have been any 1 of the
four who all came together with 2 cocks and 2 hens . The 2 hens were yearling sisters of a fed winner out of
fermoy as a young bird while the other was from Harmony lofts , a blue cock who has been a steady bird from
last year.The pied cock who won was purchased at Lier Market last year on the Lagan Valley trip. All 4 birds
will figure well in the Ulster Fed Open result this week . Congratulations guys on your recent top success .
