Sorry for the report coming out late as i haven’t been to well this last few days we are also missing some members photos ill have them for our next report Wasnt last week a mad on for fanciers the Fed had their Ulster Fed Skibbereen Old Bird Championship at the same time as their club and Fed result now let me explain for those who don’t know the Championship result counts towards the club and Fed result that was the Saturday on the Monday the Irish National Flying Club had their National race again from Skibbereen

GLEN INVITATION 13 MEMBERS SENT 162 BIRDS
Winning the Glen my side kick Franko and Ann F & A Slane winning their first race of the season flying 1510.9 and flying on the natural system this is a bird they breed themselves called ANNIES PRIDE the sir was a Hawkins cock from Joe Watts sale paired to a Belgium bird from the lofts of Peter Martin so very well done to Franko and Ann

FORTFIELD 23 MEMBERS SENT 444 BIRDS
Billy and Brenda flying as BB & L O Hara winning this week with a velicity of 1527 and taking 6th place also and the winning cock well that came out of the lofts of Gerald and Pat Delaney Oroory Hill Stud and thats only the first time you will hear about Gerald and Pat Billy and Brenda fly roundabout

BRITTANNIA 7 MEMBERS SENT 142 BIRDS
Winning the club as well as the Ulster Fed Skibbereen old bird Championship S P Haughey & Mc Dowell with a winning velocity of 1574 flying a Gerald and Pat Delaney birds finding the form they had last season and with the same birds from last season doing the damage this season again very well done lads

BALLYMACARRETT 5 MEMBERS SENT 88

In Ballymacarrett winning this week again making 6 wins in 6 races and this week taking 6 of 10 positions was J Mc Elhome & Son B Mc Elhome winning with a 1511.8 winning this week with a Vennix Dutch breed bird this bird also came 2nd Fermoy Davy and Billy fly the jealous hen system

GROSVENOR 21 MEMBERS SENT 373 BIRDS
Carrying on from last weeks Fermoy race A & A Ferran with a volicity of 1532 looking like big Tonys finding form or could it be the breeding of this bird so where did it come from the birds that breed this winner came from v Galaxy Loft and were gifted to Tony by Jim Mc Grath when he went out of the birds and this bird is a sister to last seasons Fermoy Fed winner “Mary Doll” Tony was flying widowhood very well done chara

WHEATFIELD 12 MEMBERS SENT 169 BIRDS
Winning this weeks Wheatfield B+K Mullan+Dunlop the late Brendan and brother Kieran winning this week with a volicity of 1542.9 and taking 5th place also this bird was breed for Brendans old stock the birds was never flown as a young bird but was 3rd Fermoy and 3rd Skibbereen and Keiran flys roundabout

ANDERSONSTOWN RPC 11 MEMBERS SENT 176 BIRDS

Johnston bros flying 1542 also taking 2nd, 6th, 7th, and 8th the winner is a blue yearling cock breeding Brasspenning and van de belle brother to numerous winners including Skibbereen derby and fed winners the nest mate won 1st club mallow 2nd fed and 1st club Skibereen 3rd fed 3rd yb Derby last year very consistent birds especially around Skibereen both bird flew old bird Skibereen Championship and National this week

And if you think things were mad for the Fed well the NIPA also had 2 races BUT from 2 different race points there was the Rosscarberry Old Bird Inland National Result 674 members sent 6387 birds and the other race point was The Roscrea Comeback Race were 572 members sent 13,157 birds


THE COLIN 2 MEMBERS SENT 45 BIRDS TO ROSCRA

THE COLIN 3 MEMBERS SENT 39 BIRDS TO ROSSCARBERRY

Taking the first 4 places in the Roscra race is the race team of J & D braniff (Joe and David) flying 1668 and coming 7th and 9th Section and 27th and 35 Open the breeding of this bird is vandenabeele x P Fox Drum line, he was racing on widowhood. And in the Rosscarberry National race taking 1st club flying 1580 and another 4 places in the top ten this hen is a Vandenabeele and they came 30 Section 57th Open this bird is raced on roundabout

INFC Skibbereen Old Bird National (NORTH SECTION)


Winning with a velocity of 1477 was the Mc Comb Bro’s and when i contacted paddy this is the information he sent me
The breed of the bird is sir De klak latebred reared for stock out of d Croskery and son from Annsbrough purchased at there club fund sale. This cock was raced and has 7x1st clubs including 1st east section edc 28th open Skibbereen on derby stopped racing because of injury. In stock now breeding numerous winners Dam. Is a of our good friend Gerard Adair from Crossgar Hps who race under Caskey and Adair this hen is from his top class sootjens pigeons and has produced winners every year for us. Including daughter and granddaughter winning edc opens
The winner on Tuesday has bred winners himself for fanciers. He also has numerous club positions plus his nest mate has 2x1st clubs. Also scored 2nd section f from Rosscarbary ob derby 2014 nipa in same type of conditions as Tuesday winner. We have named our winner on Tuesday Tommys boy called after my granda. We race roundabout have about 50 old birds and 50 ybs.

Coming second was the race team of Owen & Michael Monaghan from the Andersonstown RPC and talking to Michael earlier The pigeon finishing second North Section Skibbereen national is a 3 year old widowhood hen. She is a Vandenbelle/van dee Rhee cross and his been a consistant racer for us. Having many club prizes as well as 1st club 38th Open 10th section d NIPA Roscrea in 2013 and 19th Open 7th section D yearling hens National 2013. We had another 6 pigeons in the prizes finishing 82nd 92nd 172nd 209th 288th and 296th North Section.
