We enjoyed another successful Hotspot today from Navan . The youngsters faced a slight headwind and the first batch of about 25 arrived bang on the estimated time with other batches arriving steadily . There are still a few stragglers still to come and an update will be posted later this evening . Hopefully the weather is in our favour for Sunday for Hotspot 4 from Kildare 137 miles . Todays Hotspot 3 was won by Formula 1 Lofts ( John Gladwin & John Cowlin ) a top racing and breeding stud . They have bred hundreds of winners at the very highest level of competition and we would like to congratulate them on their success . We also congratulate our other prizewinners today .

Today we had another very successful Hotspot from Monaghan with excellent returns . The first batch contained approx 40 youngsters quickly followed by a steady flow of returning batches . Our winner today is the Woods Bros Synd from bonny Scotland with a Edd Sittner x Leo Van Rijn x Wall ,Lunt and Green youngster followed by Parkes Bros & Sons , P & C Carson ,Lucie Balmer ( Formula one Loft venture ) and Down Syndicate . Congratulations to you all .

Birds carrying slight injuries

Hotspot 2 will take place tomorrow from Monaghan 70 miles and we hope to liberate at 9am . A basket list will be posted on site and a result will be posted asap after the arrival of birds . We have decided to have pools in the NCC Final only and a pools sheet will be made available on site for downloading .

The weather forecast is not very favourable for the next couple of days so Sean has decided to go to Monaghan on Thursday for Hotspot 2 . Hopefully we can then get back on schedule on Sunday. We have had a few enquiries about training between Hotspots but Sean is concerned about BOP strikes and injuries and feels it is not worth the risk . Anyone is welcome to visit the lofts and watch the birds exercising and witness their condition . Today they flew for over two hours and were really raking the skies . Yesterday John and Viv Abernethy our first Hotspot winners visited the lofts and were very impressed with the birds condition as were both Danny Dixon and Jimmy Hanson ,two of the top flyers in the NIPA .
