Cullybackey HPS Annual Open Show took place on Saturday 19th December, some 250 birds were penned for the judges who had travelled down from Ballymoney, Club Secretary Derek McMullan with Leonard McCaw and John McConaghie. It was a good day for the local lofts with J & J Greer winning two classes plus Best in Show and N & S Anderson Best Oppesite Sex. Fred Simpson from Doagh & District won two classes and collected the Most Points Trophy and Victor Montgomery from Ballyclare was the other class winner. Brian Herbison won the Club Show Shield and the Visitors Trophy was won by Blair & Rankin of Ballymena & District.The main sponsors were the Bridge Garage, Brian Herbison Feeds and Charlie McDowell from Cullybackey, and also the usual good supply of prizes from Frazer Feeds in Banbridge and H Beattie & Son Tandragee, the Club Chairman Neil Anderson thanked all those who supported the show and supplied prizes, and those who helped at the club including the judges and Edrick Davidson and Jamie Greer.

Young Birds T/W – 1st & VHC J & J Greer, 2nd Russell Bros, 3rd & Commended M/M M Sempey, 4th & Reserve F Simpson, HC A Darragh. Young Birds Handled – 1st & 4th F Simpson, 2nd J & J Greer, 3rd T McAlonan, Reserve M/M M Sempey, VHC J Millar, HC V Montgomery, Commended Russell Bros.
