The comeback race on Saturday 18th June was from Corrin, the NIPA birds were released at 8.00am in a Lt North Westerly wind. It was a great result for Jeff Greenaway of the Dromore HPS collecting 1st & 2nd Open NIPA giving the local club a weekend 1st Open double.

Amelia Earhart update -
With the penultimate week in the old bird calendar, the NIPA had two races on the agenda before the big France Race on 24th June. The Sennen Cove Classic race took part this week and with poor conditions over the channel for the previous two weeks, club members decided to skip this race and head down Ireland to Corrin instead. Eight members sent 39 pigeons which where liberated early in the morning in a light Northwest wind. Eamon Quigley sent a team of pigeons training for the St Malo National and the decision proved to be worth it. Dominating the result from Corrin, Eamon and his pigeons took the first 5 positions in the club; with 8 in total in the clock and all 8 being in the top 10 of the result. Fantastic flying by the man from Inch and his birds are in the perfect condition for going to the National. Eamon\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s winning pigeon was 27th section H and also collects the full 15 points for the averages securing second place and narrowing the gap on the leader down to 10 points.
The first pigeon on the clock for Eamon has quite a story to tell. Having won as a young bird, Eamon had high hopes for this Blue cock but unfortunately he got injured and needed stitches to a wound. The bird was retired for a year and left to sit throughout the whole of the 2015 season. Gradually the bird was introduced back to the racing team this year, and this patience and sportsmanship certainly paid off, as only having 3 races in total he proved his class by winning again. The breeding of the pigeon on the sire\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s side is by C&L Woodside with the dam being of Paul Delea of Essex, making this bird 3/4 Kenyon and 1/4 Kilpatrick. Certainly one to watch if sent to St Malo ! !
