Update
7th July 2016 6:50 pm | By: NCC AUTHOR - Adrian
The youngsters ( hopefully ) are over the dreaded virus and by the way they have been exercising this past week would suggest so . They are ranging the countryside for up to 3 hours and i personally witnessed them over Ramore Head ( Portrush ) heading towards Portstewart along the coast before turning and heading back towards the lofts .
We are hoping to start training this weekend , weather permitting . The youngsters have been in the transporter a couple of times and released at the lofts just to get them used to it .

Training and first hotspot update
18th July 2016 7:07 pm | By: NCC AUTHOR - Adrian
Sean decided to postpone training which was to start last week as he wanted to make sure that the youngsters were over the virus that caused so much trouble in the lofts .
The first hotspot due to take place this Sunday 24th will be postponed until 31st and we will go midweek for 2nd hotspot and then get back on schedule .
Today they were loaded unto the transporter and had their first toss from 5 miles . They were liberated in small groups and made short work of the toss and trapped quickly . We aim to train daily weather permitting . Two of our ets pads are not in operation hence we cant show returns from todays training but we would predict 100% returns . Willie will soon sort this problem out .

Training update
20th July 2016 8:35 pm | By: NCC AUTHOR - Adrian
Training is continuing on a daily basis and today we were at the 12 mile mark and again we estimate 100% returns . We should have the problem with the ets pads sorted out by the weekend and then we will put training returns on site .

TRAINING UPDATE ON
24th July 2016 10:23 pm | By: NCC AUTHOR - Adrian
We were back at the 15 mile stage today and unfortunately experienced an unexpected bad toss . They were liberated in groups of about 50 or so and the first group arrived bang on time but all the other groups struggled and got caught up in some heavy rain later on when they should have been home . Nonetheless the birds came all afternoon and right up until dusk suggesting that should be many more in the morning . We estimate around 150 still missing but can not put an exact number as the problem with one of the pads has not been fixed as yet .
