Recently the members of Ballymoney HPS had their annual Prize Distribution at The Hedges Hotel & Restaurant. After a lovely meal the prizes were presented to the members present by Mrs Michelle McCook (wife of club member Christopher McCook). The attached photographs show the main prize winners for the 2016 racing season.

The top ten prize-winners are as follows: Danny Dixon, John Connolly, A & M Boyle, D & H Stuart, J Hutchinson, D Devenney, J McDowell & Sons, L Neill, S McCook, D & G McMullan.
The club had a number of good positions in national races with John Connolly in Skibbereen National and Danny Dixon in the Penzance Young Bird National. In the NIPA Old Birds Davy Devenney won 1st Sect B from Roscrea 143/4140 doing velocity 1308, in Young Birds from Roscrea Danny Dixon won 1st Sect 115/3533 doing velocity 1768, followed on same yard by J McDowell & Sons and D & H Stuart. Danny Dixon won the Bronze Diploma from St Malo (GB13L-42889) 2015: 20th Sect B & 174th Open vel 988, 2016: 6th Sect B & 43rd Open vel 750.
Danny Dixon from Northern Ireland was the guest last weekend at the Belaar HPS prize giving. The photo included Frount Van den Brande, Danny Dixon, Cryil Lambrecht, and centre back Gert Heylen. What next? Dixon birds racing in Belgium?

At Ballymoney HPS prize giving Danny Dixon won 18 x 1st, majority of the averages, highest prize winner for the 23rd year in succession, and 40 Trophy’s in all. Well done Danny!
