The Ulster Federation were in Kildare for their opening race of the season . The birds were liberated on Saturday 15/04/17 at 11.15 am into a westerly breeze . At the time of going to press the likely winners of 1st 2nd & 4th Open Ulster Federation , and having a great start to the new season , is last seasons Ulster Federation Old Bird Fanciers Of The Year - A & A Ferran - Tony Ferran - Grosvenor .. Tony had three birds with a light - all widowhood cocks - Tony's latest winner is a yearling , purchased as a youngster from P & J Boal - Dromore - last season and is the best of their Van Herck Family .
