Narbonne International Open Race

Post by willie reynolds »

Well it's just a few days now until marking for the Narbonne International Open Race, the most challenging old bird open race of the year.

It's still impossible for us to assess the total entry for the race, as we have not requested advance entries/payments leaving full flexibility for fanciers to decide upon their participation right up to the last minute. But we have been taking enquiries from many parts of the UK and we are hopefully going to attract a lot of fanciers having their first crack at an International Race.

The message to anyone reading this is that it's not too late to look in your loft and find a hen or cock or two coming into great condition that could take on the Narbonne challenge.

There have been some absolutely fantastic performances put up by UK fanciers in the Internationals thus far (Buddle; Elliott; Holdaway to name just three) and Narbonne provides another opportunity to show Europe that the UK doesn't live in the long-distance backwaters.

All details for the race can be found at http://www.pbosolutions.co.uk/narbonne01.htm
Also look at advert in BHW 10/07/2009 page 155
