P Brown & Son take top 3 in Navan Invitation race.

The South Down Federation held their annual Invitation race from Navan on Wednesday 14 July. The pigeons were transported by Patrick Brown and once again we are grateful for his generous sponsorship of this race.

With the pigeons liberated at 1.45am in a light southerly wind it was an excellent opportunity to prepare birds for the first official race from Navan, which took place on Saturday.

The winners of the race were Annsborough’s P Brown & Son who took the top three positions with Annalong’s K Rooney & Son completing the result with the next seven birds.

• The DTW will continue this week from 2nd Navan. Anybody sending this week for their first week can join and pay back to last week.
• This week will be a pooled race.
• The Loft KO will commence this week. The draw will be with clubs by Friday. The Final will be from 2nd Nenagh
