AGM 2017 -

The Irish South Road Federation (ISRF) was formed in 1968 and currently has approximately 800 racing members/partnerships in over thirty clubs. The federation covers an area from Wicklow to Monaghan, with the majority of the members located in the Dublin region The weekly races have approx 8,000 to 14,000 birds competing in the inland races, and 2000 to 4000 approx birds competing in the six channel races. Depending on where the birds cross, they will fly between 60 and 100 miles approximately from England (the Irish Channel) and over 600 miles from France (St Malo) to Dublin. The ISRF has four 40 foot transporters with a carrying capacity of nearly 17,000 birds at 20 birds per crate. For all the latest News and Results on the Federation click here.

DRUG TESTING

The committee will carry out drug test in the lofts selected by the Chairman or President during the racing year the day after the race. ISRF Committee.

GENERAL RUNNING OF THE ISRF

A simple majority of 1 of the ISRF committee can call a ISRF committee meeting. ISRF Committee.
The top 10 fanciers in the ISRF will receive a diploma at the end of the year. ISRF Committee.
That sections fanciers of the year be given more recognition at the federation annual presentation with the presentation of a trophy. This is to recognize that some sections have much more difficulty in actually winning the federation.. Donnycarney

OPEN RACES

The price of birds on the channel be reduced. Blanchardstown

That there be 12 birds in the crates on all channel races. Blanchardstown
That the birdage limit for federation races be removed Donnycarney
That the birdage limit for federation races be changed from 50 birds per member per race to 80 birds per member per race Donnycarney
That the birdage limit for the first 4 federation young bird races be removed Donnycarney
(the above proposals obviously depend on each other. If proposal 1 is passed then the others do not apply and so on.) Donnycarney
