Mid Antrim Update – Surgenor Bros 1st Sect B from Fermoy

For week six of the young bird season the NIPA returned to Fermoy in County Cork, poor conditions in the South of Ireland delayed all the liberations. The NIPA released in Fermoy at 11.45am in a light variable wind which is to become south westerly en-route, the birds got high and cleared very well it was reported. Winning birds were on time but the race was very erratic and most lofts had birds missing at the clock checking. This race will have an effect on the remainder of the programme. Most of the usual lofts remained at the top of the results with a few new names listed, best bird was timed in the Kells & District HPS. Jeff Surgenor is going well, top four places in the last four races, 1st Sect B and 31st Open NIPA with 13,390 birds competing.
