The famous Golden Mile produced the top winners in the penultimate young bird race from Dunmanway in County Cork. Dromore HPS had the top three, overall winner Joey Vage who does fantastic work each weekend producing the NIPA results followed by Jeff Greenaway ever consistent and the winner of the 5 Bird Championship race which was flown in duplicate.

He also sent one bird to Dunmanway 5 Bird and got it at 2.07pm. This bird would have won the centre but being caught up in traffic it was disqualified down to the three hour rule (Hard one).

One week to go on what has been a most difficult young bird season, well seem by the big reduction in entries. Regards of that, some local lofts are putting up big results. At the weekend Steele & McNeill top both Combine & Section in both Dunmanway events which makes it three wins in a row for the bird which topped Combine & Section in last weekend’s Roscrea. From Talbenny Geoff Surgenor had the best local bird, topping the NIPA in the YB National, while Roy Clements had the Card of the Day with the top four in Harryville, in what was another difficult race.
