The big Mid Antrim Show was held as usual on Boxing Day, hosted by the local Kells & District HPS with some 240 birds penned from fanciers in both Mid & East Antrim all ready for the team of judges who had travelled from the East Down Combine. Ace racers Mickey & Doley Croskery and M Jennings from Annsborough in the County Down.
It turned out a big day for visiting lofts with those fanciers winning all six classes plus the Best in Show and Best Opposite Sex awards. D & G McMullan from Ballymoney won all three of the young bird classes, Victor Montgomery from Ballyclare had the Red Card in Old Bird Handled plus BIS, W & N Gilbert from Ballymena & District had the Red Card in Old Bird Through Wires and finally C & R Turkington from Doagh & District had the Red Card in Old Bird Eye-sign.

The AGM of Kells & District HPS will be held in ther local clubrooms on Thursday 21st February 2019 at 7.00pm. Any proposals to be with Secretary Mervyn Gregg before 7th February.
