Fermoy was flown on Friday 7th June, brought forward to make space for Talbenny, it was a week of confusion but the final decision worked out well and good racing was the order of the day. Just under 8,000 birds were released in Fermoy at 7.45am and winners exceeded a mile a minute. The far flying lofts in the North West dominated the result and the overall 1st Open NIPA was won by Davy Booth of the Mourne & District followed by Allen Kelly from Omagh & District who took 1st Open in the 5 Bird Championship.

This race was absolutely dominated by Declan McNulty taking the first 4 positions and having 8 in the Top 10, this bird will be very high up in the open tonight. It was a tough race for many with returns not being great up to a few hours ago, it's great to see Declan do well as he is a great clubman and always puts 100% into his pigeons. Well done Declan winning with your 6 year old pigeon.
