Loft report, Liam (Hopper) Paisley IHU bird of the year winner 2018 & 2019 and
ISRF channel average winner 2018 & Meritirious ward winner ISRF 2018 & 2019.

Today i had the short trip up to liam paisley loft just a couple of miles from myself in south dublin ,liam has a very nice amd tidy small back garden setup and a fantastic family of pigeons housed inside this lovely loft ,liam has always flown a great pigeon for years now and comes from a great family of pigeon fanciers as liams parents both mother & father raced in partnership together for years in stillorgan club in south Dublin ,it was before my time in pigeons when liams parents raced but from wat iv been told they were as good as any1 in there time in the sport so u could say liam was bred for the job from a young age from great stock, liam raced in the ecf for a long time and won 5 ecf open races on the channel in his years racing with the ecf ,but a couple of years ago liam made the switch to race in isrf in dublin ,liams main aim every year is the channell as thats wat he sets his stall out for every year and wat a few seasons he has had in isrf since joining ,in 2018 liam was isrf channell champion and also won the metorios award and also Irish homing union Bird of the year 2018 with his super racing hen now named the 20 hen and u can view her in pic above, this hen was a racing machine on the water bang there every week accross the gruelling Irish sea and got her just rewards winning all these great awards that are very very hard to win as competition in dublin and Ireland is fierce, so to win best bird in Irish homing union takes some doin ,but the success did not stop there as liam only went out and found another gem the following season ,this time it was his beautiful blue cock now named bob dylan ,this cock really is something special and even standing in liams loft today u could just tell this cock is diffrent class he was watching everything that was going on ,this lad was also a great pigeon in 2018 been 4th best channell pigeon in isrf 2018 and then in 2019 got even better again week after week bang there at top of isrf open result and ended up been isrf channell bird of year 2019 and again winning liam the irish homing union bird of the year 2019 and isrf metorios award winner and shay lehane trophy for the 2nd year running also ,some people be lucky to win these awards once ever and liam has done it 2 years on the trot now, that really does take some doin and id say it will be a long time untill u see a fancier win these awards back to back again ,liam sends these birds back accross that though Irish sea and it dont matter wat they won the week before so i think liam deserves alot of credit for these awards as i know the pigeon has to do the job to win them but i can tell u there's not many fanciers that would of kept sending the likes of these pigeons back week after week regardless of wind or weather after wat they won so liam got his just rewards for his brave risks sending them back and they never let him down, liam only keeps about 40 old birds and some times less but everything must race the water and do it most weeks if its to earn a perch in this loft ,liam races his birds on widowhood and likes to try diffrent things to motivate them when the big races come up ,liam also keeps some of his hens in boxes on the side wall as u can see in picture above and a hen racing from one of them boxes accauly won first open talbenny for Liam a few seasons ago, liams main 2 breeders are the darker cock and the no ring blue hen ,this pair came from liams good friend who is unfortunately not with us any more and thats the late gerry okeefe from ballybrack gerry was a gent of a man as i new him myself ,gerry gave liam this pair of vandebelle birds and 90% of wat liam has won on the water since he has this pair are carrying there bloodlines,as the 2018 Irish homing union bird of the years sire is a full brother to the 2019 Irish homing union bird of the year 2019 and also the open winner is also bred for a close relation to these birds and other lofts have also done great with liams birds as only last season tony dillon from dublin won first open isrf talbenny with a bird bred from liams and murphy brothers from newtown in co wickow have 2 super brothers liam bred called the 68&69 cocks both bred from the kerry cock who is in turn a brother to bob dylan and those 2 cocks flew great in Wicklow for murphy bros 1 year winning 3rd & 5th open infc yearling national so these birds really are a class act ,liam has alot of friends in the pigeon game and liam also works with John Berminghamand said he and join share advise on pigeons all the time and john has helped liam out alot with the birds and im not suprised as John flying a great pigeon for few years untill he had to take a break from the sport ,now thats a report on one of Dublin and Ireland's best channell loft in recent years liam paisley, atb for 2020 to all.
