2009 Latebred Sale

Sunday 20th September - Newbridge Bowling Club. Viewing 6pm - 7pm start.

Once again the SNRPC give you the opportunity to purchase a top quality youngster or two from the best long distance fanciers in the country. If you are serious about channel racing then this is a sale not to be missed you can be assured there will be some excellent youngsters on offer to enhance your stock loft and strengthen your family.

1. W & S Aitchison Eyemouth, triple national winner, top distance loft for many years.

2. John Ellis Wellbank, The name says it all, one of the best in the country.

3. John Callan Lesmahagow, Excellent National prize-winning loft.2nd & 3rd Section Lillers 2009.John has developed a great family of birds.

4. H S& E Butterworth Haddington, one direct off Harperdean Bullet 1st Open Reims 2009 Gold Medal winner.
Harvey’s Brownlie Van Hee bloodlines feature Prominently in the breeding of this one.

5. Les McKay Carnoustie, 1st & 2nd Sect M Saintes 740 miles outstanding performance, Les timed his two entries within 6 minutes of each other.

6. Kerr Stainthorpe Lesmahagow, 1st Section E Lillers. Good distance fancier.

7. Norman Renton Foulden, 1st Open Andrezele this was Normans 3rd National win, previous winner from Tours and Young Bird national. Norman has had a great season again in 2009.

8. Ken Buchannan Hamilton, 2nd Open Reims 2009 one direct from Kens 2nd Open hen, great performance again from Kens loft.

9. J & G Caird Dundee, Very consistent distance fanciers flying into the Dundee area.

10. Stuart Young Bonnyrigg, Here we have another very good honest distance family, never far away in the channel events.

11. John Bell Tranent, 2nd open Andrezele 09, yearling national winner from Arras 08. One of the East of Scotland’s top performers.

12. Frank Baillie Clackmannan, 3 x 1st Section this season from Wanstead Flats, Reims and Andrezele.

13. Andy Thomson Dundee, Another excellent loft flying north of the Tay, 2009 was another good season for Andy.

14. Peter Virtue Cockburnspath, 1st Open Lillers 09. With 5 National wins to his credit, Peter has created one of the best family’s of pigeons in the country at this present time.

15. Joe Lewcio Alloa, Very steady distance loft Joe had the 1st four in his section out of Lillers this season.

16. Jim Benvie Ladybank, one of Scotland’s best, owner of the great Kingdom Boy.

17. W & M Smith Macmerry, Top East of Scotland fancier, one direct from Willie’s 5th Open Reim’s cock the Dam was 48th open same race. Owner of “77 Sunset Strip” 2nd & 3rd section winner from Saintes over 700 miles.

18. Ian Ross Kirkintilloch, Very good channel flyer, 1st Sect 9th open Reims 2009. 1st sect 12th open Andrezele 2009.

19. Ian McLaren Largoward, another very consistent channel flyer north of the Forth with some excellent performances in the last few seasons.

20. Walter McGaffney Lesmahagow, Walter’s family has been winning from the distance for many years.

21. John Proctor Kirkcaldy, Double National winner owner of that great pigeon McFly.

22. John Anderson Anstruther, 1st Sect 2nd Open Lillers 2009. John has been in the pigeon game for a long time with many great positions to his name.

23. W Davidson & Son Coalburn, One of the best lofts in the West of Scotland, very good from the distance.

24. John Mack Alloa, John is a very good flyer never far away at the distance events.

25. Wilson & Jack Kirkfieldbank, 2008 Messac National winners 549 miles, one direct of the winner “Peanuts” one not to be missed.

26. Stuart Mullen Port Glasgow, ( a 2010 youngster )Last seasons gold Medal winner from Reims, a great performance with “Karen’s Girl”

27. Jock McKenzie Anstruther, Another top Fife loft, Jocks name always features on the distance results.

28. Pete Patrick Thornton, (a 2010 youngster) 1st sect M, Saintes 2008. 2nd Sect 8th Open Lillers 2009.

29. Jim O’Hara Lesmahagow, One out a daughter of his good pigeon “Emergency” Jim has been winning from the distance for many years.

30. Ian Ross Kirkintilloch, (2nd bird)

31. Norman Renton Foulden, (2nd bird)

32. Brian O’Neill Edinburgh, 4th Open 2nd Sect Reims 2009. Brian is a very consistent fancier at the distance.

33. G & E Archibald Bilston. 8th Open 5th Sect Reims 2009. A Grand Daughter off George’s good hen Meadow Lass,
great breeding in this one.

34. Dennis Dall Ladybank, one bred in the purple, sire from Pete Patrick out of Jimmy Hamilton bloodlines. Dam a direct daughter of Dennis’s great hen of Rebecca 2. 7 times a winner from the Channel.

All the above are top distance men who are winning from the channel at this present time, you can be assured of a quality bred youngster from this calibre of fancier.
