For the second race by the NIPA the venue was Gowran Park in Dounty Kilkenny, liberation on Saturday 13th June was delayed with some 25,000 birds released at 12.30pm into a Lt Easterly wind. A bit more difficult that the week previous but the result similar, all the leading positions filled by Newry lofts and another 1st Open NIPA for the record holder Ron Williamson of Newry & District. Huge congratulations to Ronnie Williamson on winning the last 2 NIPA opens with fantastic birdage of 22,000+birds & 24,000+ birds, the Legend continues that's now a massive 73 x 1st NIPA Opens, outstanding racing by anyone's standards racing firstly in Portadown and now residing in Newry City. Without doubt the best loft in Ireland and probably Europe as well.

This week Eddie McGettigan wins again to make it 2 in a row with 4 in the Top 10 and finishing 4th and 8th Section against 2,280 pigeons. Tthis pigeon was 2nd club, 3rd Section 2378 pigeons and 2nd Foyle Valley Combine 1800 pigeons last week and won it this week 1600 birds so its showing up to be a decent one. The 3rd pigeon was 1st club, 1st Foyle Valley Combine 1800 pigeons and 2nd Section 2378 pigeons last week. Raymond McAteer coming a close second though and finishing 5th in the Section which is great flying. Well done to David Devine, Dessie Mullen and Paul Walter's also making it into the Section H result.

This weeks Mid Antrim Combine winner from Gowran Park was clocked in the village of Kells. Harry Boyd clocked his two year old blue chequer Van Den Bulck widowhood hen at 15.59pm after the 155 mile fly to his lofts. The hen wins Kells & Dist by a clear 10 minutes and also wins 1st MA Combine, 1st Section B and a good 28th Open NIPA with 24,972 birds competing.
