This weeks East Down Combine race scheduled for 27th June will be from Mallow as planned.

NIPA TRANSPORT PAYMENT - Would all clubs please remember that this week 2nd Corrin is your 4 week payment and could all clubs please ensure that their payment is on the transporter on Friday night or in the office on Saturday morning also a reminder that no one is permitted on the liberation site this week again and thank you for your compliance with this request at last weeks liberation. Your entry forms for Barleycove should be on the Transporter this week make sure your driver issues you with them.

Wednesday 24/06/20

Irish South Road Federation - Marking for Pembrook race Thursday evening. Truck leaving Northside at 7.45pm and leaving Southside at 8.45pm
Clubs mark accordingly.

2020 Season update 25th June.

The N.I.P.A. convoyer Mr P. McNeice has negotiated that the N.I.P.A. can release from Talbenny on Saturday 11th July as was planned.
The release site at Bude is still being negotiated and early indications are positive. We will make a further announcement when a decision has been made by the land owners.

The NIPA have decided not to racemark tomorrow Friday and will update the website tomorrow evening Friday also Skibbereen has been confirmed as being able to be used for liberations.

Ulster Federation will hamper Saturday for a Sunday race from Fermoy.

The EDC weather committee have decided to wait until Friday morning to make a decision on hampering for this weeks race from Mallow.

Friday 26/06/20

The East Down Combine weather committee have decided not to Hamper on Friday night for this weeks race from Mallow. A decision on hampering for a Sunday race will be taken on Friday night.
EDC Update - The East Down Combine weather committee have decided to delay a decision on Hampering for this weeks race from Mallow until Saturday Morning.

East Coat Fed - Marking tomorrow Saturday for a race on Sunday from Castletown, usual pick up times.

The NIPA have decided not to racemark tomorrow Saturday and will update the website on Saturday evening.

Saturday 27/06/20

The East Down Combine will Hamper Tonight (Saturday) for this weeks race from Mallow. Normal collection times.

ISRF Update - Pembroke weather conditions not good at the moment next update at 11.00am.

Birds liberated in Pembrook at 1.30pm in good visibility no rain. Rain to clear north east from Dublin wind south west

The NIPA have decided to race mark on Monday for a possible release in Corrin on Tuesday and would all committee members please note there will be a Zoom meeting tomorrow at 7.30pm.

Sunday 28/06/20

Irish SR Fed birds are in Castletown. No lib yet in Castletown update at 10.00am.

The East Coast Fed (Dublin) birds are out in Castletown at 8.10am.


IHUNFC - Update on Velencia race good at race point strong winds from the west decreasing as u go inland lot of showers on route next update at 9

IHU Nat FC - Birds up 9.30am.
West winds at the Race Point gradually moving to South West on route best of luck everyone. Regards Richie.



EDC birds are in Mallow. Conditions are not suitable for a Liberation from Mallow at present next update will be around 11.30am.
The East Down Combine have Liberated in Mallow at 12.00 - Wind westerly.

Ulster Fed anticipating a liberation in Fermoy at 12.30. Ulster Fed have liberated in Fermoy at 12.45.

Weather delays racing -

The weather yet again interrupted the progress of the old bird season, at the weekend the fourth inland race was due to be flown from Corrin in Co Cork. Latest information was that race marking would take place tomorrow Monday with the race flown weather permitting on Tuesday 30th June, the weather is to be very unsettled for the next 10 days. The NIPA confirmed various details from the Zoom meeting on Sunday evening. The NIPA will race mark weather permitting on Friday 3rd July for a race from Pilmore Beach, this will be a club collection and will 1 hour earlier than your normal time. Barleycove Inland National has been put back till race marking at your allocated centres on Monday 6th July for a possible liberation in Barleycove on Wednesday 8th July.

Talbenny in South Wales has been confirmed for July 11th, to be followed by Skibbereen Yearling National on Tuesday 14th July, Saturday 18th July will be Bude, Saturday 25th July Penzance or Sennen Cove including OB Classic and finally Friday 31st July St Malo Old Bird National. The start date of the young bird season, is to be confirmed at a later date.
