Herbie McVeigh retired at 89 -

I had posted a few weeks back that Herbie McVeigh of Killyleagh was still racing successfully at the ripe young age of 89. However, due to failing health Herbie has decided to make this past year his last, and he has given me all the birds and loft equipment “to do with whatever I please” as he put it. At present Herbie isn’t too well, he had a heavy cold which has taken time to clear and he needs bed rest. The family would appreciate it if telephone calls could be kept to a minimum.
