Bernard races in the Millvale club based in Newry . Over the past 2 years Bernard has been working on a new business venture “ Universal Stud” with his aim to breed both pedigree limousin bulls and race horses all of a very high standard it's the best or nothing. Over the past few years Bernard has formed a tight relationship with Jeff Greenaway and Jeff has split nests on many occasions with Bernard resulting in Bernard having n/mates to some of Jeff’s top performers – Only the Best Is At Bernards - He is also one of the very few fanciers to ever have received birds of top racing partnership from Ballyholland - Sands and Rice - Only the fact Bernard is a 1st cousin to Kevin Sands helped his cause . In recent seasons Bernard made the visit to Germany to visit the lofts of Hardy Kruger to view the stock. He was really impressed and purchased nothing but the best. One particular Hardy Kruger Stock Cock really impressed Bernard and having purchased him he paired it to a direct daughter of “ Nightrider” Jeff Greenaway’s St Malo Old Bird National Winner .
