Over the years Alan has sourced some of the finest winning bloodlines in the country. At present the lofts promote three main families . The three main families at stock are Soontjens , Jan Aardens & Janssen . Many winners and top performers are reported back to Alan every season .
Alan’s Janssens originate direct from Romain Legiest Belgium. He has had the Romain Legiest Janssen pigeons for over 40 years. Many prominent fanciers owe their success to these Legiest Janssen pigeons which came from his lofts. The Soontjens are all from Steve Coulter Newcastle Upon Tyne who wins out off turn every season. The Jan Aardens are a mix from the following Gerhard Schlepphorst Germany, Ype Hemstra Netherlands, Pete Schellekens Netherlands, Clwyd Lofts and Louella Lofts. Alan’s Red Janssens were all got Direct from Gerhard Schlepphorst Germany.
STOP PRESS : Due to ongoing ill health. Alan will be having a major reduction from his Janssens, Jan Aardens and Jos Soontjens families with Pigeon Craic Auctions over the coming weeks. Many lofts owe a lot off their success with birds direct or offspring from these lofts. Some who have benefited from this include Davy Campbell Eastway, Kevin Murray , Willie O,Neil Newross, Roy Bothwell, Top positions won with these birds. Twice 1st Open Nipa Skibbereen Derby for myself, 3rd Open Yearling National plus a car for Sammy Steele. Also 3rd Open Kings cup for Myles and McConnell, 5th Open Kings Cup for Dougie Alexander, 3rd & 5th yearling National for W Kincaid. The list goes on to many to mention. The birds will be sold in different parts.
