Sale of birds for late Alan Barkley –

The stock birds and racing team for the late Alan Barkley will be sold from his home 94 Kilgad roag. Racing in the strong Kells & District HPS Alan has had success from Mullingar right through to St Malo (France). His birds have excelled in cross channel racing and in the 2020 season the partnership won the Old Bird Average, Inland Average and Cross Channel Average. Alan had the cream of the lofts from J & N Simpson (Broughshane) over many years and on sale will be Lambreghts, Stickers Donsker, Staf van Reet and for the distance enthusiasts there are Jan Aarden and Ko Nipius bloodlines which have brought Johnny Simpson much success. It is well known that Alan had a very good reputation in the show scene and in past years has had many Best in Show and Best Opposite Sex wins.
