Some important news from the big Newry & Dist the club PRO Jordan Hughes presented a cheque to long time member Ron McKelvey, the DTW prize was £350. His father club secretary Gary Hughes paid a recent visit to St Joseph’s Primary School in Bessbrook and took a few birds to explain all about pigeon racing to P2. Many thanks to the class teacher Mrs Fitzpatrick and maybe in the future some new members. Young Jordan has made contact with the Sports Editor from the local Newry Reporter newspaper, and they intend to run a bit on this latest venture to promote the sport. They might be interested in doing a weekly report during racing. If you don’t ask you don’t get.
