2nd Talbenny - 04/06/22

Post by willie reynolds »

For the second week the NIPA were in Talbenny South Wales and with poor weather conditions forecast for later in the day to continue over the weekend all the Irish organisations including the NIPA released at the early time of 6.00am in a North Easterly wind. Early birds made good time, but a fair number of birds had not made home by the clock strike off times, both channel races have been testing events although several lofts reported good returns. Very typical cross channel racing and the weather looks difficult for the weekend race on Saturday from Bude in Cornwall. Patrick McFadden from the Monaghan had the big early arrival to top the big Sect E and collect 1st Open NIPA on velocity 1324. We need each week the 1st Section winners in the NIPA, holding the winner at the loft would be good, and we especially need a photo of 1st Open NIPA. All photos will be published as space permits. Reminder as well this column will publish the Top 10 in every Nat Centre for all the major races, just make sure message is sent or posted where I can see it on Facebook.
