Randalstown HPS - Racing Awards For 2022 season

Randalstown HPS have supplied their award winners for the past season. Ian and Eric Stewart of the Stewart Bros partnership were the Highest Prize-winner’s winning seven races and also topped the Mid Antrim Combine in the first young bird race from Kilbeggan. Secretary John Miller also won 7 x 1st which included the NIPA Skibbereen OB Inland National and both Talbenny races. Anthony McNeill won 3 x 1st including both NIPA YB Nationals from Talbenny & Skibbereen and had the best club bird in the INFC Sennen Cove Yearling National placed 280th Open. Other club winners were Houston Bros best from Penzance and also 298th Open in the Sennen Cove INFC Yearling national and Frank Dickey with the winner from Gowran Park young birds.

OB Races Winners:

Tullamore 16/04/22 - Stewart Bros 1st & 2nd Club velo 1907 & 21st Combine, 40th Section & 171th Open NIPA 13,860 birds.
Roscrea 23/04/22 - John Miller 1st Club velo 1128 Secretary John Miller had the winner this week with a yearling chequer cock sitting on eggs 13 days. Sire is Lambrechts and the dam Veenestra. Both parents were purchased from sales in England
Gowran Park 29/04/22 - Stewart Bros 1st, 2nd & 3rd club velo 1519 Stewart Bros won their second race of the season with a 2-year-old chequer hen. This Louis Thijs hen won the club from Talbenny last season.
Fermoy 07/05/22 - Stewart Bros 1st & 2nd velo 1480 Stewart Bros won their third race of the season with the same 2-year-old Louis Thijs chequer hen that won last week. That's 3 x 1st Club for this hen including winning Talbenny last season
Corrin 14/05/22 - John Miller 1st & 2nd velo 1643 & 21st & 22nd Combine 1637 birds John Miller has his second win of the season with a yearling blue chequer Van Loon hen sitting eggs 10 days. John's runner up a yearling chequer Veenestra cock is the Sagan bloodlines.
Skibbereen NIPA Inland National 21/05/22 - John Miller velo 1833 & 13th MA Combine, 22nd Section & 228th Open 4363 Birds. John Miller the Randalstown winner for the second week on the trot with a yearling blue chequer Leo Van Rijn hen sitting eggs 10 days
1st Talbenny 28/05/22 - John Miller velo 1245 & 6th MA Combine, 8th Section & 129th Open 11258 birds John Miller winning for the third week in a row with a two-year-old Soontjen chequer cock sitting 15 days
2nd Talbenny 04/06/22 - John Miller velo 1205 & 8th Combine, 8th Section 1055 birds & 45th Open 8235 birds. John Miller winning with the same blue chequer Soontjen cock for the second week in a row, 6th Combine from 1st Talbenny and 8th Combine 2nd Talbenny. This week John's bird is sitting on a newly hatched squeaker.
Bude 12/06/22 - Stewart Bros 1st velo 1219, 7th Combine, 7th Section & 35th Open 4035 Birds. John Miller 13th Combine, 15th Section & 101st Open, W & W Gilbert 19th Combine, 24th Section & 183rd Open. Stewart Bros the Randalstown winners were next best with a yearling Vandenabeele cock through Peter Martin
Penzance 18/06/22 - Houston Bros 1st club velo 1340, 4th Combine, 6th Section & 62nd Open 3904 birds. W & W Gilbert 7th & 26th MA Combine, 10th & 43rd Section & 77th & 321rd Open, J McNeill & Son 12th Combine, 19th Section & 134th Open, John Miller 21st Combine, 32nd Section & 263rd Open

Young Bird Races:
1st Kilbeggan 16/07/22 - Stewart Bros velo 1518, 1st Mid Antrim Combine, 6th Section 1324 birds & 59th Open 7260 Birds. Randalstown fanciers Ian and Eric Stewart had the best bird in the Mid Antrim Combine on 1518ypm. The brother's timed their chequer hen at 11.34am flying 107 miles. Sire is Sticker Donckers from Andy McCauley and dam "The Green Ring Hen" the best bloodlines of Paddy & William McManus of Ahoghill. This pair have bred good winners in the past. Stewart Bros last topped the Combine in the INFC King's Cup race from St. Allouestre last season when they finished 13th Open National.
2nd Kilbeggan 22/07/22 - John Miller 1st velo 1425, 4th Combine & 9th Section 2541 birds. John Miller the Randalstown winner on 1425 was 4th Combine with a chequer Van Loon hen. Both parents bred by Steve Goulding of Liverpool.
Tullamore 29/07/22 - Stewart Bros 1st & 2nd Club velo 1665, 20th Combine 1547 birds. Stewart Bros had the best two birds in Randalstown and their second win in the young birds. Their winner Lambrecht x Stickers-Donckers

Gowran Park 13/08/22 - F & G & J Dickey 1st & 2nd velo 1288, 19th Combine & 47th Section 1953 birds.
Fermoy 19/08/22 - John Miller velo 1864, 49th Section B 2012 birds. John Miller was best in Randalstown with a Blue Willy Jacobs cock flying to the perch on velocity 1864

Talbenny YB National 27/08/22 - J McNeill & Son 1st Club velo 1187, 9th Combine, 17th Section & 194th Open 3191 Birds. Stewart Bros 26th Section. John McNeill & Son were best in Randalstown at 13.45pm with a blue Stickers-Donckers hen and placed 17th Section & 194th Open
Fermoy 01/09/22 - J McNeill & Son 1st & 2nd club velo 1199 Anthony McNeill best in Randalstown for the second week on the trot
Skibbereen YB NIPA National 10/09/22 - J McNeill & Son 1st & 2nd Club vel 1139 & 32nd Combine. Anthony McNeill was best in Randalstown for the third week on the trot with a blue cock bred by Frank and Geoff Dickey of Randalstown and is bred from the best of their Stickers - Donckers. The cock won 2nd club the previous week from Fermoy beaten by a loftmate, and a full brother won 1st Coleraine Centre and 3rd Section A for Bobby & Danny Coyle of Coleraine Premier at the weekend.

W & W Gilbert won - Best average Bude & Penzance, YB average. J McNeill & Son won- Sennen Cove Yearling National, Lowest winning velocity YB, Talbenny YB National, 2nd Fermoy YB, Skibbereen YB National. F & G & J Dickey won - Gowran Park YB.
