Tullamore - Sat 15/04/23

Post by willie reynolds »

Mile a minute in the NIPA, Ronnie Witherow wins 1st Open.

The NIPA race season for 2023 started as planned at Tullamore on Saturday 15th April, the weather had been poor in the week with plenty of rain and high winds and it was cold, not the birds favourite. Saturday turned out good enough and in a helping Southerly wind the birds raced home at a mile a minute for the top winners. Many congratulations to the 1st Open NIPA winner Ronnie Witherow a top racer in Limavady for many years. For this year’s press coverage, I am joined with Jordan Hughes from Newry who will be covering all the news in Sections C, D, F & G. Do remember we need info on each 1st Sect winner and a photo holding the bird if possible, and any other 1st Club winners. Deadlines are tight and info must be sent ASAP over weekend of the race.
