This weekend the NIPA were due to be in Gowran Park this race will now be , weather permitting , flown from Roscrea with the race programme continuing on with Fermoy etc from the following week.

Wednesday 26/04/23

NIPA Race marking tomorrow night for possible Friday lib in Roscrea.

Ulster federation will hamper tomorrow night Thursday 27th of April for a race from horse and jockey on Friday 28th same pickup times as last week.

It is the assessment of the East Down Combine weather committee that current weather forecasts show there is every chance of getting a good Race from Mallow on Saturday.

Ulster federation tonight's turn out 60 members sent 1260 birds to the horse and jockey I want to wish you all the best for tomorrow

Nipa 2nd Roscrea O/B
The NIPA are in Roscrea where at this time a release is not possible , we will update the site around 11.00am.

NEXT Update 12.30pm. The race controller expects to release at 13.15hrs, this will be confirmed later.

The NIPA have released in Roscrea at 1.15 in a light westerly wind and birds cleared well.

Saturday 29/04/23

Due to the heavy showers forecast for later today and tomorrow the East Down Combine weather committee decided late last night it would be in the best interests of the birds and for the best chance of a early Liberation to go to Fermoy for todays race instead of Mallow. Update due at 10.30am. Dorothy Smyth PO.

Conditions have improved at the race point and and on route but are not yet good enough for a Liberation. Next update will be around 11.30am

The EDC have liberated in Fermoy at 11.25am in a Lt Southerly wind.

10,000 Irish SR Fed birds will be liberated in Mallow at 11.30am in a light south wind very good visibility Henry Byrne. ECF Hope to liberate as well.
