New NIPA Press Officer – I would like to inform everyone that I have been newly elected as Press Officer for the NIPA and will be covering Sections C, D, F and G in the NIPA in this forthcoming season 2024. I kindly ask for all the Club Secretaries or race Secretaries within these sections to get in contact with me highlighting their club and contact details for the future publication of results, loft reports and any other information for publication. JOURNEY’S END - N.I.P.A NOTES – SECTIONS C, D, F, & G

This week the Mighty N.I.P.A went to Fermoy in Co. Cork for the 3 rd time this season. Race marking
took place on Friday the 2 nd of June with the birds arriving on site in Fermoy on Friday feed and
watered. 477 members of the Mighty N.I.P.A. sent 8,308 Birds to the third Fermoy Race & 265
Members nominated 1,189 Birds in the 5 Bird limit Fermoy 5 Bird Championship held within the one
race. The Birds were liberated at 8:00 AM on Saturday morning in a Light North East Wind.

Double whammy from Fermoy

The Winning Bird from the 3 rd Fermoy Race belongs to David Booth of Mourne & District Social H.P.S
in Section H.
Many Congratulations to David Booth on claiming 1 st & 2 nd Open N.I.P.A from Fermoy 3. Also, Big
Congratulations to G&A Campbell of Armagh H.P.S finishing 3 rd Open. Congratulations lads great
result. Overall, it was a great showing all round with many Sections doing well in the Open Result.

The Winner of Section D (59/815) from Fermoy 3 was J. Gregory & Sons of Colin H.P.S. The father
and son partnership consisting of John and son Eamon of Colin Finishes 1 st Club (37 Birds) 1 st Section
(815 Birds) and 10 th Open N.I.P.A. (8,308 Birds) The Fermoy Section Winner was a 3-year-old Cheq
Hen raced on the roundabout system. Her sire and dam have bred them many winners over the past

few seasons, winning up to 2nd open NIPA. This was the newly crowned section winners third club
win and she also finished 2nd section 20th open in the Fermoy 5 bird last season. She has previously
won 7th, 9th, 18th section plus many more. Many Congratulations to Section D Winners J. Gregory

SECTION F REPORT
The Winner of Section F (59/1,119) from Talbenny 2 was Burgess & Brennan of Bangor R.P.C The
Lads win the Section for the third time this year in a row from Talbenny completing the double and
one from land race. They finish 1 st & 2 nd Club (90 Birds) 1 st & 2 nd Section F (1,119 Birds) and 104 th Open
N.I.P.A (8,308) The lads 3rd Fermoy Section winner was a check cock racing on the roundabout
system. He was 4th section from Tullamore, 4th section Fermoy and 3rd section Skibbereen a super
pigeon. the 2nd section winner from Fermoy 3 is a blue hen also racing on the roundabout system.
She was 4th section from the 1st Talbenny this season. Brilliant racing this season lads adding
another Section F Win to the honours list. Many Congratulations to Section F Winners Burgess &
Brennan and Big Congratulations to all Club Winners.

Marks 2 nd Section win in a row from Fermoy. The Section Winner is a wee hen from Gerald Delaney’s
O’Roory Hill Stud. Mark would like to thank Gerald and family for breeding him multiple winners in

Another busy week of races completed with 3 Races being flown on the one day. A very enjoyable
report this week with so many winners being reported m phone was hopping. Big Thank you again to
everybody again for their kind regards on my reports, it really means a lot and gives me a great
boost hearing so many of you looking forward to my weekly reports and enjoying the read. It’s been
great chatting to everyone and hearing all your birds’ stories from the build-up and after the race. I
would like to thank everybody for help in gathering info for myself as it gives me a great help in
