Harold Cubitt of Rasharkin & Dist Best from Fermoy (4)
The NIPA held were in Fermoy for the fifth time this season on Saturday 17th June. Birds were liberated at 10.40am in south easterly winds. Harold Cubitt at present is having one of his best ever season's with his widowhood cocks was best in Rasharkin club for the ninth time this year and also topped the Mid Antrim Combine for the second time this season. Harold timed his yearling chequer cock at 14.58pm for the 204 mile fly to the lofts on the Finvoy Road in Rasharkin. Harold's winner has been on great form all season winning six positions in the top twenty of the Combine including 1st Combine in the opening race from Tullamore and also wins the Mid Antrim Combine OB of the year award for 2023. This cock is bred from Harold's old family of pigeons. Runner up in the Combine was another fancier having a top season Trevor Whyte of Ahoghill. Trev's winner was a homebred yearling cheq pied Lambrecht hen. Trevor would like to thank Keith Kernohan for supplying him with Natural corn this season. Other clubs winners included Gary Gibson with the top two in Cullybackey, Johnston Eagleson & Sons top six in Ballymena & District, John Getty 1st in Broughshane and Johnathon Barkley and Laura Surgenor with the winner in Kells & District.

New officials are Chairman Robin Service from Ballymena & District and Secretary Willie Reynolds from Ballymena & District. President is Danny Dixon. Mervyn Eagleson is PO. All the latest news and results will be listed here, including Champions League and OB & YB Knock-out. Fees for 2024 are £5.00 for Clubs that includes all members.
