Kells & District Prize Night for 2023 Season – Top award winners in Kells & District -

Kells & District were the first local club to have their prize-giving holding it in their clubrooms in the Kells village. Highest prize-winners this season are Johnathan Barkley & Laura Surgenor who won 7 races over the season and topped the Mid Antrim Combine and Section B from 1st Talbenny. They also won 2nd Talbenny, Penzance OB Classic and the Skibbereen YB National races. Geoff Surgenor was runner and won 9 x 1st including the Skibbereen OB Inland National and Penzance. Harry Boyd with 4 wins, Gregg Bros 3 wins and Henry Turkington completed the top five. Racing in the INFC and Henry Turkington had the best bird in the St Malo Friendship National 2nd Mid Antrim Combine and 29th Open. Henry also had the best bird in the Penzance young bird National placed 12th MA Combine & 127th Open. The club would like to thank all the members for their hard work and support throughout the season and many thanks to Thompson Millar of Sizzlers Chip Shop in Kells for his, much appreciated sponsorship for the past season.
