Scottish National Racing Pigeon Club

This year we have on offer a really exceptional batch of youngsters specially selected by some of the countries top distance fanciers for this our first sale of the 2010 season.

Again our members excelled at the long distance events last season and put up some wonderful performances over the year.
The following 2009 National winners have donated youngsters from their best S H & E Butterworth Reims, Norman Renton Andrezel, Peter Virtue Lillers, Les McKay Saintes and also from our various 1st Section winners and Champion Award winners.

Lot1. Norman Renton Foulden. Triple National Winner
SNRPC Top Prize winner for 2009 and winner of the Andrezel National and Extreme Distance and overall average winner.

Lot 2. Bruce McKenzie Dundee. 2009 was the 3rd year in succession that Bruce has won the section out of the YB National flying 279 miles, very successful North of Scotland loft.

Lot 3. John Proctor Kirkcaldy. Double National winner from Tours and St Nazaire with the great McFly and Lucky Jim one of the best distance lofts in the country.

Lot 4 . John Bell Tranent. 2nd Open Andrezel 2009, 1st Yearling 2nd Open Arras 2008. A very consistent East of Scotland loft.

Lot 5. Les McKay Carnoustie. 1st & 2nd Section M Saintes 2009, 1st & 2nd Open SNRPC & Silver medal winner flying 740 miles an outstanding performance, Les is a very experienced distance fancier winner of the Liege National 2001.

Lot 6. Stuart Mullan Port Glasgow. Reims National and Gold medal winner 2008 putting up a fantastic performance in this race flying into the West of Scotland against all the odds.

Lot 6. S H & E Butterworth Haddington. 2009 Reims National and Gold Medal winner, this win crowned a wonderful season for Harvey. One of the most consistent lofts at the distance in the last few seasons.

Lot 7 W & S Aitchison Eyemouth. Winners of 3 Nationals, one of the Scottish borders top distance lofts and has been for many years.

Lot8. J Mack Alloa. Here we have another very consistent loft at the channel, winner of a SNRPC Bronze award 2009.
W Flockhart Tranent. Wilf needs no introduction, one of the big names in the East of Scotland, winner of the Reims Gold Medal 2007. This is a supreme distance family and will be an ideal cross.

Mr & Mrs Forrest Edinburgh. Section winner from 2009 Y B National, very consistent flyers for many years.

John McNiell Broxburn. One of the big names in the game, many 1st Sections wins and countless other top prizes from the distance.
Ian Lowe Gartcosh. 2009 was an excellent season for Ian winning a SNRPC Bronze Award, very good distance fancier with some top class Open positions in the Nationals.

P W Virtue Cockburnspath. This multi National winning loft again excelled in 2009, winning the Lillers National, 11th Open Reims, 4th Open Andrezel 9th open Y B National plus many other top positions. Fantastic National winning family of pigeons.

Ian McLaren Largoward. Another very good Fife loft with some excellent performances over the last two or three years. Ian’s loft is full of top national winning bloodlines so you can be assured of an excellent youngster.

Frank Baillie Clacklmannan. Three times a section winner in 2009, Frank always features in the National results.

Tom Currie Cupar. 2nd open Messac 2009 flying 561 miles, Tom’s pigeons excel on hard days when the going is tough.

Ian Ross Kirkintilloch. Ian had a great 2009 season winning section F on two occasions from Reims and Andrezel. One of the best West section fanciers.

Andy Thomson Dundee. 13th Open Lillers 2009, been a winning loft for years, many fanciers have done very well with Andy’s pigeons.
Gordon Campbell Montrose. One of the furthest flying members in the SNRPC winner of a Bronze award in 2009.

J & G Caird Dundee. Another very good national prize winning loft from North of the Tay. Grant won an SNRPC Bronze Award in 2009.

Jock McKenzie Anstruther. One of the Kingdoms most consistent distance flyers, great race last year from the Lillers National with 6 on the result.

W Davidson & Son Coalburn. One of the West of Scotland’s household names in distance racing, been racing successfully for many years. 3rd Open 2nd West Sect Reims 2009.

Kerr Stainthorpe Lesmahagow. Another well established distance loft. Kerr has been winning for more years that he cares to remember 1st West Section Lillers 2009.

Sandy Proctor Kirckaldy. 12th Open Andrezel 2009, on the Reims result also. Very good Fife loft with excellent distance bloodlines.

John Ellis Wellbank. One of the biggest names in the sport, countless winners over the years, 1st Open Inland National 2008. 2nd Sect, 5th Open Andrezel 2009.Top quality loft of winning pigeons.

Wilson & Jack Lanark. Winners of the hard Messac National 2008. Great National loft. SNRPC Silver Award winners with their great pigeon Peanuts 2009.

George Anderson Scone. 2009 was a great season for George, featured in every National result, 4 on the result from Reims, 3rd Open Andrezel. Winner of the SNRPC Section average. Flying into Perthshire.

John Callan Lesmahagow. Very good West Section fancier some excellent performances at the channel in the last few seasons. 3rd & 5th West Sect Lillers 2009.

Dan Mitchell & Son Plains Airdrie. Another good winning loft. 1st Open Inland National Wanstead Flats 2008, this years section E winner from Y B National.

James Anderson Cardenden. Great 2009 season for James, 4 on the result from Reims including 3rd section and 7 on the Lillers result excellent performance.

Alex Roberts Glasgow. Alex is a prominent fancier in the West of Scotland, never far away in the big races with some great results over the years.2nd Sect Reims 2008.

J & A Stokes Carstairs. Another very good loft at the distance always featuring in the National results. 2nd Section 4th Open Messac 2008.

Mr & Mrs D Elliot Newbiggin. Any distance enthusiast will know Davy and Mrs Elliot are one of the biggest names in Scotland and excel when it comes to the channel, they have put up some fantastic performances over the years, too many to even attempt to mention here.

D Mathieson & Son Coalburn. One of the West Sections top lofts 4th section Arras 2008, 7th sect Reims 2008.
John Anderson Anstruther. Another Fife fancier at the top of his sport at this present time 1st Sect 2nd Open Lillers 2009. 5th Sect Reims 2008.

Ian M Brown Powmill. 2nd Sect 24th Open Reims 2006, Ian’s loft is full of distance bloodlines from the best in the country you can be assured of a quality youngster here.

Jim Benvie Ladybank. One of the country’s best distance fanciers and Double National Winner from Reims and Lessay with the great Kingdom Boy. None better.

Joe Lewcio Alloa. Look back over the national results and you will find Joe’s name featuring every time, very consistent over the years, great double out of last seasons Lillers winning 1st & 2nd Section.

Walter McGaffney Lesmahagow. Walter seems to have been winning for years, a great many fanciers have used his pigeons to blend in with their own family’s with great success.

Ken Buchanan Hamilton. Great distance fancier has come close to winning a national race on several occasions, 1st Sect 2nd Open Reims 2009, 2nd Sect, 3rd Open Tours 2007, 1st Sect 3rd Open Lessay 2006.

Jim O’Hara Lesmahagow. Another household name in national racing in the West of Scotland Jim’s record is second to none in the distance events.
