The NIPA were back in Clonmel last weekend, a distance of 185 miles to local flyers with 77 Fed members sending 647 birds. Despite the North Easterly wind the leading pigeons made light of the conditions and once again the top spot went to the Derry City Fed Champions Paul & Elaine Maxwell who took 1st, 3rd & 15th positions. This loft is absolutely unbeatable this season having won the Federation on 4 occasions as well as topping the NIPA Section H three times. Runner up spot goes to Noel Murray who gets back to winning ways by topping the Londonderry RPS while fellow member Nigel McClay enjoys a great race in his first Old Bird season by taking 4th, 18th & 19th spots. Veteran fancier Hugh McGowan fills 5th position.

Other results: 6th & 12th - E Quigley; 7th - M Jones; 8th & 14th - J Mc Laughlin; 9th & 10th - P Mc Laughlin; 11th - Cooley Bros; 13th & 17th - R Hegarty; 16th - G McLaughlin; 20th - Dunne & Quigley.
