Results Talbenny (1) - 30/05/10

Post by willie reynolds »

Talbenny was the venue for the first cross channel race with 58 members of City of Derry Fed sending 317 birds. After a one day hold over, due to poor weather in Wales the birds were liberated into a strong North West wind making it a difficult fly across the Irish Sea. Topping the Federation on this occasion are long distance specialists Danny & Gary Cooley who take 1st and 5th positions and no doubt will be well pleased with this performance in the run up to the forth coming French races. Jamsie Gallagher takes the runner up spot with John McLaughlin having a superb fly with 3 birds recorded for 3rd, 7th & 10th. Paul & Elaine Maxwell are also in the frame for 4th, a top class result again for the Foyle RPS.

Other results: 6th - N McGrotty; 8th - S McGrotty; 9th - B Ogilvie; 11th - M Harkin; 12th - D Simpson; 13th, 15th & 20th - W & D Hamilton; 14th - McCloskey Bros; 16th - E Quigley; 17th - B Page; 18th - L Flanagan & Son; 19th - Coyle Bros.
