The birds were back in Talbenny, South Wales for the first race of the weekend with 57 members sending 232 birds. Again a tough fly was encountered in this cross channel event. Topping the Derry Fed on this occasion is the Inch Island loft of Eamon Quigley who has 3 in the frame to take 1st, 9th & 15th positions. Eamon will be well pleased with this result coming as it does just ahead of the French national races. Foyle member Sean Duffy tops his club and also has a good fly taking 2nd,13th & 14th spots, while John McLaughlin has two in the result on 3rd & 16th. Danny & Gary Cooley are in again for 4th spot with Adrian Lyle taking 5th.
