Sunday week past saw 25 members sending 417 birds in the first Young Bird City of Derry Federation race from Mullingar. With favourable conditions the birds made high speeds with returns being excellent. Taking the honours on this occasion is Maiden City fancier Robbie Hegarty who will be happy with this start to his Young Bird campaign.

Londonderry fanciers P & J Masters take 2nd & 16th with Noel Murray in 3rd. Sean Gallagher has a great race taking 4th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th & 11th. Foyle member James Mc Laughlin takes 5th & 14th.

Other results: 8th, 15th & 18th - J Ebbs; 12th & 13th - A & K Mitchell; 17th - A Boyd; 19th & 20th - T White.
